Due to community concern over the COVID-19 virus, we have stopped issuing permits in person.

For the duration, you may use one the following application methods:
  1. Visit our Burn Permits page.
  2. Go directly to the application form (hosted by Zoho Forms) at https://zfrmz.com/qqUgqZuBSWLMB38y7RxQ.
  3. Scan the QR code below to take you to the same Zoho Forms page.
Using a touch screen device will help make the process faster.

If there are no problems with your application, you should receive your permit within 24 hours (usually less than 60 minutes).

Free Firewise "Home Ignition Zone" Training

DATE: February 29th - March 1st
TIME: 9:00am – 4:00pm (2nd day may be a half day based on the number of homes to be assessed)
LOCATION: 4817 S. Apache Ave, Sierra Vista, AZ

COST: Free (30 Seats Available)

This 2-day course is designed for community members and fire professionals interested in wildfire risk reduction actions property owners can implement to improve
home survivability due to a wildland fire threat.

The course will include information on the fundamentals of wildland fire behavior; potential types of ignition sources; the Home Ignition Zone; recommendations for wildfire risk reduction actions; case studies of Wildland Urban Interface fires; National Fire Protection Association Firewise® and the Firewise USATM recognition program.
There will be a mix of classroom based presentations and field practice with property site visits.

Please dress appropriately for weather conditions with pants and closed toe shoes for the property walk-throughs.

Participants will be required to come eager to learn and must attend the full course to receive a Certificate of Course Completion.

Funeral Detail for Probationary Firefighter Joshua W. Eugin Announced

Numerous fire departments and law enforcement agencies will join with family and friends to say farewell to Probationary Firefighter Joshua W. Eugin (36) of the Saint David Fire District. PFF Eugin was born on November 17, 1981 and suffered a cardiac event during a multi-department training exercise on the night of October 17, 2018. Josh is survived by his fiancée, Chelsea Bowen of Saint David and her daughter, Addy; his father, Bob Eugin of Florida; his sister, Brittany Eugin of South Carolina and his service dog (also described as his “partner in crime”), Salty.

  • Funeral Location: Saint David School gymnasium at 70 E Patton Street, Saint David, AZ
  • Time and Date: Saturday, October 27, 2018 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM

  • Handicap and Disabled parking will be available at the south end of the school
    General parking will be at the north end of the school
