Established in 1992, the Saint David Fire District is made up of a special breed of men and women; individuals who understand the true meaning of service to their community. These fine people volunteer their time, and often their money, to help keep their friends and neighbors safe. Without a second thought they place their lives in danger at a moment's notice to come to the aid of someone in need. Serving 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, these fine individuals will leave their families in the middle of the night to head into dangers unknown. Some types of calls they respond to include structure fires, wildland fires, vehicle fires, automobile accidents, all types of rescues, snake removal, and medical calls ranging from broken bones to cardiac arrests. Many have taken their personal time to obtain EMT, Paramedic, Wildland 1 & 2, Fire Fighter 1 & 2 and different types of instructor certifications. Some of these require up to a year of training to obtain. Once again, they do all of this for little compensation!
